But, so the story7 , he flew so high that the wax melted (融化) in the8 of the sun. His wings fell off and he9 into the sea. “What we need to fly are wings with machines,” said Wilbur. And so the young Wright brothers began to10 about how they couldbuild an aeroplane. They owned a bicycle shop.11 the money they made from selling andmending bicycles was12 in trying to build aeroplanes.
In 1896 a German named Otto Lilienthal was13 while gliding (滑翔) in the air. He 14 hand-made wings tied to his body. The wind lifted him off the15 all right. Then it16 stronger and suddenly caught his light wings, turning them17 , and he fell to his death.
When the Wright brothers heard of this, they made a glider (滑翔机), too. But instead of using their own bodies to18 it straight, they thought of a way to make the wings movefrom side to side when they turned. Next they19 a small engine. In 1903 Orville flew their first aeroplane at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. He stayed up in the air20 almost a minute !

Sincerely yours,
Jason Riggs, Manager
