I think it’s good to be a news reporter, because it’s an exciting job. A news reporter travels to many places and meet many new people. But one thing that I am not sure about is that the job might be also dangerous and one has to be away from home most of the year. All things considered, I still think it’s a good idea to be a news reporter, because each day what you confront is different from the previous one and this will bring you excitement and a feeling of success.

How are you these days? And how is your new job?

I am busy on job-hunting these days. I just read an advertisement in the newspaper that the company you worked before needs an English secretary.

You once told me that it is a good company. The working environment suits young people. And it locates at downtown. So I am thinking of applying for it.

Could you tell me something about the development of the company in these years and the salary comparing with other companies? Do I have to work long hours?

Three days ago, I just got the watch I ordered from your store. You sent it on time and thanks for that. But I found several problems. First, the color is not what I wanted. I wanted golden, but you gave me silver instead. I thought that would be OK, if everything else is good enough. The stranger thing happens. The watch gets five minutes slower every day, so I have to keep correcting it. Because of this, I feel nervous about being late for work. I really cannot stand it any longer. So I have to write this letter to request giving the watch back to you and full money back to me.

Along with the letter is the copy of the order.

The air pollution is harmful and it can be solved.   

The air pollution does harm to people. It causes people to suffer from some illnesses such as a headache and a couch. And it affects the environment, too. For example, in some heavily-polluted areas, plants do not grow well or can’t grow at all. But something can be done to solve the problem. First, we can develop a good public bus transportation system to reduce the number of cars on the roads. Cars are the main source of air pollution in many places. And second, we can move all the pollution-causing factories out of cities.

To sum up, something can be done to solve the serious problem of air pollution.

Why Should We learn English

English language has now become an international language.Many countries in the world use English and more people are learning English. Many people who attend the international conference, go abroad and do business with foreigners have to speak it.

Nowadays, the most of the valuable books, newspapers and magazines are printed and published in English. If we want to obtain more information and knowledge, we have to learn English well. English is certainly regarded as a tool of communication.

Learning English needs patience. It is quite often for anyone to meet with trouble while learning English. In this ease, to be patient is indeed very important. The only way for us to learn English well is to memorize new words, and read English-articles patiently and carefully.
